About The Central District of Mississippi
We have seen in recent state elections an increased turnout of voters in the Central District. In 2015, Cecil Brown received a total of 53.4% of the total vote. In the 2018 Senatorial election with Mike Espy, we witnessed a voter increase of more than 30% in some counties.
Geographically, Hinds County has both the largest population and voter performance among voters. Stamps received over 51,000 votes from Hinds County alone. This is also where DeKeither Stamps is well known, liked, and respected by Democrats and Republicans alike.
